1. Overview
This Shipping Policy explains how items purchased from The Olde 1840, LLC are shipped, delivered, or made available for pickup.
By purchasing from us, you agree to this policy.
We reserve the right to update or modify this policy at any time.
2. Small Item Shipping (UPS / USPS)
We ship smaller items — including décor, books, textiles, home accents, accessories, and gift items — via:
- UPS
- USPS
- Or another reputable carrier
Shipping rates are calculated at checkout or provided upon request.
Tracking:
Tracking information is provided when available.
Transit Delays:
Carrier delays, weather issues, lost or damaged packages, or shipping interruptions are outside our control.
Once an item is handed to the carrier, risk of loss transfers to the customer.
We do not refund for:
- Carrier delays
- Lost or misdelivered packages
- Damage occurring during transit
If a package is damaged in shipping, you may file a claim directly with the carrier.
3. Large Item Delivery (Furniture & Oversized Pieces)
Large items cannot be shipped via UPS or USPS.
Instead, we offer Local Delivery within 100 miles of our shop located at:

Local Delivery Terms:
- Delivery is available within 100 miles only
- Delivery fees apply and vary based on distance, size, and complexity
- Delivery fees must be paid in full in advance
- Delivery scheduling is subject to availability
- The customer must ensure clear access to the delivery location
Once the item is delivered to the customer’s location or left in the designated drop-off spot, the item becomes the customer’s responsibility.
We are not responsible for:
- Damage caused after delivery
- Incorrect measurements taken by the customer
- Items that do not fit through doorways or spaces
4. In-Store Pickup
Customers may pick up purchases during regular business hours:
Monday–Sunday
10 AM – 5 PM
Pickup is free of charge.
All items must be transported securely. We are not liable for damage that occurs once items leave our premises.
5. Out-of-Area Shipping or Freight
At this time, we do not offer long-distance freight shipping for furniture or oversized items.
If a customer wants to coordinate their own shipping or freight service:
- You must notify us in advance
- The carrier must pick up during store hours
- You accept full responsibility for the carrier and the condition of the item once it leaves our shop
6. All Sales Final
All items — shipped, delivered, or picked up — are final sale.
We do not accept:
- Returns
- Refunds
- Exchanges
- Cancellations after an item has shipped or been scheduled for delivery
This applies to all products, including furniture, vintage, antique, and new retail items.
